My name is Lárus Sigurðarson and I am a 44 year old freelance photographer, living in Reykjavík, Iceland
I started photograpy rather late, I bought my first camera in 2000 but my photography enthusiasm quickly escalated and I started taking photography very seriously in the summer of 2003. I eventually studied photography at Iðnskólinn í Reykjavík in the fall of 2006 (the school changed its name and is currently named Tækniskólinn) and I graduated from the photography division in the spring of 2007. I had my internship at the advertisement/marketing firm Expo and finished my studies in the autumn of 2008.
I do all sorts of photoshoots, both for advertisement and portraits, I like the variety and I am up for pretty much anything. I mostly photograph outdoors but I also like photographing indoors, I can set up lighting anywhere and I'll gladly travel anywhere in the world for assignments. I am open to any ideas and I encourage anybody who wants to do a photoshoot with me to pitch me their ideas and I am sure I can find a way to make them happen.
