My name is Lárus Sigurðarson and I am a 40 year old freelance photographer, living in Reykjavík, Iceland
I started photograpy rather late, I bought my first camera in 2000 but my photography enthusiasm quickly escalated and I started taking photography very seriously in the summer of 2003. I eventually studied photography at Iðnskólinn í Reykjavík in the fall of 2006 (the school changed its name and is currently named Tækniskólinn) and I graduated from the photography division in the spring of 2007. I had my internship at the advertisement/marketingfirm Expo and finished my studies in the autumn of 2008.
I do all sorts of photoshoots, both for advertisement and portraits, I like the variety and I am up for pretty much anything. I equally like taking photos outdoors or on location as in the studio and I'll gladly travel anywhere in the world for assignments. I am open to any ideas and I encourage anybody who wants to do a photoshoot with me to pitch me their ideas and I am sure I can find a way to make them happen. If you wish to see more of my work, I have an extensive collection on images at flickr.
The studio is named Studio 178 and it is located at Laugavegur 178. The house is a corner house though so you walk in from Bolholt, on the same side as the letters Trackwell is spelled in big letters on the side of the house. The entrance is on the left to Tékk-kristal. There is only a red elevator and a staircase on the ground floor. I am at the 3rd floor, in the end of the corridor, opposite Nærmynd, the door is marked Studio 178.
